Blueprints Beta

A blueprint is a pre-defined set of rules and cart item filters you can add from the Rule Builder. You can also create your own blueprints from a campaign's rules or cart item filters and reuse them across multiple campaigns in the same Application.

Blueprints vs campaign templates

Blueprints are similar to campaign templates but serve different purposes:

  • Campaign templates define the entire campaign structure including budgets, rules, and potential placeholders.
  • Blueprints are reusable rules and cart item filters. They can be added to a campaign without altering its overall structure.

Add a blueprint to a campaign​

To add the content of a blueprint to your campaign:

  1. Open your campaign and select Rule Builder.
  2. In the top-right corner of the Rule Builder, click Blueprints.
  3. Browse the list of available blueprints that appears, or use the search bar to find a specific blueprint.
  4. Click the blueprint you want to add.

The rules added to your campaign from a blueprint exist independently. Changes you make to the rules within your campaign do not affect the original blueprint.

Find a blueprint​

In Rule Builder > Blueprints, use the search bar at the top of the list to find blueprints by name or description. You can also filter by category to find the right blueprint for your campaign requirements.

To filter the results, use the following categories:

  • Promotions: Rules for generating discounts.
  • Pricing: Rules for managing item pricing.
  • Loyalty: Rules for managing loyalty programs.
  • Custom: Extra filter you can use when saving your own blueprints.

To display only the blueprints created in the current Application, toggle Created in this Application.

Create a blueprint​

You can save rules or cart item filters from your campaign as blueprints. By default, the blueprint contains all the rules and cart item filters present in the campaign. After you create a blueprint, it becomes available in all the campaigns of the current Application.

To create a blueprint:

  1. In the Rule Builder, locate the rule you want to create a blueprint from.
  2. At the top right of the rule, click Create Blueprint.
  3. Configure the details:
    • Name: Enter a name for the blueprint.
    • Category: Select a category from the dropdown, for example, Custom.
    • Description: (Optional) Add a description. By default, the blueprint contains all the rules that are part of the current campaign.
  4. (Optional) In the Rules section, delete any rules you want to exclude from the blueprint. You can also rename the rules.
  5. Click Create Blueprint.

Delete a blueprint​

Deleting a blueprint permanently removes it from the list of available blueprints. This does not affect any campaigns that use the blueprint.

To delete a blueprint:

  1. Open your campaign and select Rule Builder.
  2. In the top-right corner of the Rule Builder, click Blueprints.
  3. Browse the list of available blueprints that appears, or use the search bar to find a specific blueprint.
  4. On the blueprint you want to delete, click Delete.
  5. In the pop-up that appears, click Delete Blueprint.
