# Card-based loyalty programs

Card-based loyalty programs allow customers to collect and spend [loyalty points](/docs/product/loyalty-programs/overview.md) on a loyalty card. Users can share their cards with their friends and family and use them directly in POS systems. This helps increase customer engagement by gamifying your loyalty programs.

Loyalty cards can be used with or without customer profiles linked to them. [Linking a customer profile to a loyalty card](/docs/product/loyalty-programs/card-based/manage-loyalty-cards.md#link-customer-profiles-to-a-loyalty-card)
affects the way the card can be used.

Loyalty cards share certain features with gift cards. See the comparison below to

## List loyalty cards

On the left-side menu of a [card-based loyalty program](/docs/product/loyalty-programs/overview.md#loyalty-program-types),
click <Cards className="icon"/> **Loyalty Cards**
to display all the cards in the loyalty program.

You can see the following information for each of them:

| Column   | Description                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 |
| -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Code     | Loyalty card identification code. The same card code can be used in multiple loyalty programs.                                                                                                                                              |
| Status   | Indicates whether the card is <StateLabel type="active" name="Active" />, <StateLabel type="inactive" name="Inactive" />, or <StateLabel type="blocked" name="Blocked" />.                                                                  |
| Batch ID | Identifier of the batch the loyalty card belongs to. Each batch of cards you create via the Campaign Manager provides you with a unique batch ID.                                                                                           |
| Created  | Date and time when the card was created or imported into the loyalty program. The timestamp values are in the time zone selected when [creating the loyalty program](/docs/product/loyalty-programs/profile-based/create-pb-programs.md). |
| Actions  | Allows you to [export the transaction logs of the loyalty card](/docs/product/loyalty-programs/card-based/manage-loyalty-cards.md#export-the-transaction-logs), delete the card, or change its status.                                 |

If you do not see any cards, start by [importing cards](/docs/product/loyalty-programs/card-based/manage-loyalty-cards.md#import-loyalty-cards-into-a-program) or [creating cards](/docs/product/loyalty-programs/card-based/create-loyalty-cards.md).

## Loyalty card page

To access all the information for the
corresponding loyalty card and [import and export loyalty card data](/docs/product/loyalty-programs/card-based/manage-loyalty-cards.md), click a loyalty card **code** on the **Loyalty Cards** page.

The loyalty card page displays the following information:

- **Code**: Loyalty card identification code. The same card code can be used in multiple loyalty programs.
- **Created**: Date and time when the card was created or imported into the loyalty program.
- **Last updated**: Date and time when the card was last used in a session or when points
  were manually added or removed from it.
- **Batch ID**: Identifier of the batch the loyalty card belongs to. Each batch of cards
  you create via the Campaign Manager provides you with a unique batch ID.
- **Status**: Indicates whether the card
  is <StateLabel type="active" name="Active" />, <StateLabel type="inactive" name="Inactive" />,
  or <StateLabel type="blocked" name="Blocked" />.

  - You can change the card status from <StateLabel type="active" name="Active" />
    to <StateLabel type="inactive" name="Inactive" /> and the other way round.
  - <StateLabel type="blocked" name="Blocked" /> cards
    cannot be reactivated.

### Linked customers

This tab displays all the [customer profiles](/docs/product/applications/display-customer-profiles.md)
that are [linked to the card](/docs/product/loyalty-programs/card-based/manage-loyalty-cards.md#link-customer-profiles-to-a-loyalty-card):

|         Column          |                                                                                                       Description                                                                                                        |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Customer integration ID | Identifier of the customer profile that is connected to the card.                                                                                                                                                           |
| Connected Applications  | Applications in which the customer profile that is connected to the card exists. One customer profile can exist in multiple Applications.                                                                                   |
| Registered              | Date and time when the customer profile was connected to the card. The timestamp values are in the time zone selected when [creating the loyalty program](/docs/product/loyalty-programs/card-based/create-cb-programs.md). |

### Transactions

This tab displays the points balance and the point transactions of the card.

- **Pending points**: Number of loyalty points on the card that have been awarded but are
  not available until their start date.
- **Active points**: Number of loyalty points on the card that are currently active.
- **Spent points**: Number of loyalty points on the card that have already been used.

The following information is displayed for each loyalty point transaction:

| Created on     | Date and time when a loyalty point transaction involving the card was made.                                |
| Points         | Number of loyalty points added to or deducted from the card in the session where the transaction was made. |
| Reason         | Reason why the loyalty points were added or deducted.                                                      |
| Start date     | Date and time when any added points become active.                                                         |
| Expiry date    | Date and time when any added points expire.                                                                |
| Session        | Identifier of the customer session where the transaction was made.                                         |
| Transaction ID | Identifier of the specific point transaction.                                                              |

Use the dropdown at the top left of the **Transactions** tab to filter
transactions by ledger. You can also search all transactions by **Session** or
**Transaction ID**.

### Attributes

This tab displays the custom attributes connected to this loyalty card and their
values. You can enter or edit the values of any attribute directly.
