# Create giveaways

> To create a giveaway pool:

1. On the leftmost menu, click **Incentives** > **Giveaways**.
1. Click <Add className="icon"/> **Create Giveaway Pool**.
1. In **Environment**, select the [environment where you want to create your
   giveaway pool](/docs/product/giveaways/overview/#giveaway-pool-environments).

   :::note
   You cannot change the environment after you create the giveaway pool.
   :::
1. In **Name**, enter a name for the pool.
1. (Optional) In **Description**, enter some information to help you identify the pool.
1. (Optional) In **Import Codes**, click <Upload className="icon"/> **Upload a CSV file**
   and select a CSV file of giveaway codes from your computer. You can also
   [import codes](/docs/product/giveaways/manage-giveaways.md#import-giveaway-codes)
   after creating the pool.

   :::note
   You can import the same code multiple times. Duplicate codes are treated and distributed
   to customers as unique codes.
   :::

1. Click **Create Giveaway Pool**.
