Integration landscape

Use cases

Airlines: Miles-based rewards

Airlines can use Talon. One to change the value of miles in real time based on member data. This enables airline companies to personalize the traveler's experience by allowing them to redeem loyalty points for more value.

For example, an airline can use a custom attribute that tracks travelers' churn_risk score to identify high-value travelers who haven't booked a flight in several months. They can offer a time-sensitive reward where loyalty points have 50% more redemption value for a specific 48-hour window, encouraging these travelers to book their next trip immediately.

Airport lounges: Tier-based lounge access

Airport lounges can leverage a traveler's transaction history, loyalty status, and credit card points to grant exclusive benefits to frequent travelers. Use a traveler's loyalty tier to determine their eligibility for perks, such as expedited lounge check-in or pre-booking discounts.

For example, when a traveler opens the lounge app or checks in at a terminal kiosk, the lounge provider retrieves their current loyalty tier from Talon.One. If a customer is in the Gold tier, with more than 2000 points and between 7-12 visits in a year, the Rule Engine triggers a complimentary guest pass for that specific session.

Hotels, hostels, and bed & breakfasts: Extended stay incentives

To increase average order value (AOV), these accommodation providers can reward guests with bonus loyalty points for booking stays that exceed a specific night count. You can use a custom attribute to evaluate the campaign and award loyalty points at the end of their stay.

Let's say a hotel sets a three-night minimum stay to receive the extended stay promotion. When a guest books a five-night stay, Talon. One responds with an effect that awards 5,000 points as a bonus. You can use action-based points activation to credit the guest's loyalty balance only after the completion of their stay.

Transport services: Location-based campaigns

Trains, cab services, and other transport providers can use geofencing to trigger location-specific pricing or destination-based rewards for customers.

For example, a rail operator can track a customer's arrival at Amsterdam central station through their location data. As the customer enters the geofence area, the railway app sends their coordinates to Talon. One, which responds with a 20% discount for a local canal tour or museum ticket, valid only for that day.

Online travel agencies: Personalized member pricing

To maximize perceived value, travel platforms can display real-time member prices on listings tailored to a customer's loyalty tier or historical data. Talon. One enables the platform to display simulated discounts instantly, allowing you to show strikethrough pricing information without requiring a customer to finalize a transaction.

For example, let's imagine a Gold tier member is browsing hotel listings in Rome. As the page loads, the travel platform sends a dry request to Talon. One, which identifies the user's tier and returns a $25 discount, allowing the site to display a price of $300 $275 instantly.

Tour operators: Persona-based campaigns

Tour operators can define customer personas, such as family travelers or luxury seekers, and dynamically respond with rewards that align with each customer's unique travel style. You can add these personas as audiences in Talon. One to trigger tailored promotions for that customer category.

For example, let's say a resort chain has identified a guest within the Luxury Seekers audience. When they initiate a booking, Talon. One triggers a custom effect that adds a complimentary voucher for a spa service to their reservation, ensuring the offer is personalized to their specific needs.

Events and ticketing: Omnichannel rewards

A ticketing platform can reward customers for engaging with their platform and taking specific actions across any channel, including their website or mobile app.

For example, when a customer attends their fifth show in a year or buys more than three merchandise items on the ticketing app, Talon. One assigns a unique voucher code to their account ID. When a pre-defined Talon. One event related to the customer is triggered, this voucher is automatically applied to the checkout page of their next purchase, regardless of the channel they use to log in.

Partnership use case: Stay and explore bundles

Hotels can offer guests exclusive tour and activity discount bundles available only during their active stay window. Talon. One can validate a customer's checked_in status through session attributes, and automatically return discount codes for partnered tours, either in the hotel platform or in any booking app the customer used.

For example, when a guest checks into a resort in Tuscany, the hotel's mobile app can immediately unlock a 25% guest only discount on a partner vineyard tour, provided the tour date falls within the guest's verified stay duration.
