Reward entity
Rewards are incentives that customers can browse, unlock, and use. Examples of rewards include discounts, free items, and giveaways. Unlocking a reward may require spending loyalty points.
Only admin users can create rewards. Each reward is connected to one Application and must be unlocked by the customer before it can be used. If the reward requires points to be unlocked, Talon. One deducts them from the connected loyalty program and subledger.
Each reward has an eligibility rule and a reward rule:
- Eligibility rule: Defines who can unlock the reward.
- Reward rule: In this rule, conditions specify where the reward can be used, and effects implement the reward itself, such as a discount, a free item, a giveaway, a webhook trigger, or a custom effect.
A reward can have the following statuses:
- Active: Customers can see and unlock the reward.
- Inactive: The reward does not appear in the rewards catalog and cannot be unlocked by customers.
A reward can have the following statuses for a given customer:
- Unlocked: The customer unlocked the reward.
- Used: The customer applied the reward in a session.
